01 Platform · Approvals

The short list, ranked by what ignoring it costs.

The point of everything the agents do is to make this list short. What reaches you is decisions, each with the work already finished underneath it, ordered by consequence rather than by arrival.

What needs you Ranked by impact, not by time
  • Approve to send. Follow up on a quote that has gone quiet.
  • Answer to unblock. Two jobs at one client. One visit or two?
  • Recommendation. Three records are missing the field a report needs.

02 The kinds

Three different things, kept apart.

A queue that mixes urgent decisions with housekeeping trains you to stop reading it, so these are separated by what they ask of you rather than lumped together as notifications.

Something to approve

An agent wants to send something to a customer. You see the whole thing exactly as it will go out, not a summary, so approving is reading rather than trusting. Approve it, edit it first, or skip it.

Something only you can settle

A genuine judgement call the records cannot answer, put to you with the options it thinks are reasonable and what each would mean. Answer it once, and you can turn that answer into the standing rule underneath it.

Something it noticed

A recommendation with no deadline. Worth a look when you have a minute, and still there when you do. These never block anything and never send anything.

Something it thinks it has learned

A pattern it believes it has spotted in how you decide, offered back to you as a question rather than quietly applied. You confirm it or you do not.

03 Two zoom levels

A glance, and a desk.

On the home page it is a rail beside everything else: what needs you, in order, collapsible to a strip when you are doing something else. That is the glance, and most mornings the glance is all you want.

When you want to work through it, the same queue opens as a full screen desk with the content, the approve and reject controls and the answer fields in place. Same data, same decisions, one of them sized for noticing and one sized for clearing.
